Greed is curse
Once there was a greedy, foolish dog, named Fluffy. He was about three years old. He had black skin with white spots. His master was poor and he could not save enough money to buy meat for him, therefore he had to steal for it.
Horse is pet
Cat has good sound.
I think the best pet
Is a faithful hound.
One day, he went to a butcher shop and sat at a safe distance. When the butcher was haggling with a customer, he jumped and took a piece of meat. He wanted to relish it quiet away from other dogs. Therefore, he took a prompt decision to go to a nearby jungle. To do so he had to cross the river through the river bridge.
Prophet says;
Greet and feed those
You know and whom
You do not know.
When he was in the middle of the bridge, he caught glances at the river. The water of the river shone crystal clear like a mirror. He saw his own reflection in the water and took it another dog with a bigger piece of meat. His mouth started watering at the sight of the meat.
Hazrat Muhammad(S.A.W)said;
Do not look at other property by having feelings of jealousy in your heart.
The dog was overwhelmed by the rushing current of greed and said to himself.
Why does that fool enjoy so bigger piece of meat as I m superior to him?
He barked at that dog.No sooner did he open his mouth his own piece of meat fell down. He barked and roared. Now he jumped from twenty feet height and no sooner did he jump, the shadow disappeared. His anger knew no bounds. He forgot greed is a curse and contentment is a great blessing. His enemy piece seemed so big to him that he lost his own piece also. He tried to get away from the river but being weak, he could not get out of the river and died.
Moral lessons;
- Greed is curse
- Contentment is a great blessing.
- A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
- Something is better than nothing.
